Barossa Valley Estate...
The Valley Growers Cooperative was formed in
1985 by enterprising Barossa Valley vignerons to sell and market
wines under the Barossa Valley Estate label to alleviate some of
the pressures they were facing in selling their fruit.
Since its inception and with the assistance
of a strategic alliance with the BRL Hardy Wine Company, the
cooperative has grown and prospered, developing a reputation for
excellence both domestically and abroad.

Background
Information: The picturesque village of Ebenezer was
founded in
the northern region of the Barossa Valley in 1851. The first
vineyards at Ebenezer were established at the time of settlement and
have been painstakingly nurtured ever since. It is from these
vineyards that the Barossa Valley Estate’s Ebenezer range was born.
Tasting Notes: A deep, earthern blood red in the glass with
slight purple hues, Ebenezer Shiraz exudes aromas of plum and
chocolate with lifted cherry, spice and oak notations.
On the palate, experience these flavours delivered with a full, rich
mouth feel with rounded tannins that precede a lengthy finish. |

Background
Information: Each year, from a selection of more than 60 growers
that make up the Co-operative, B.V.E carefully hand picks only the
finest Shiraz grapes for the renowned E&E Black Pepper Shiraz.
The succulent fruit is
predominantly chosen from the most mature, dry grown Shiraz vines
from the Northerly aspect of the valley. These vines, cultivated
only using the utmost of care, are low cropping, producing small
berries providing intensely concentrated flavours and unique
character.
Tasting Notes:
Deep crimson red in appearance, with a slight hue of age and a fine
bead of bubble. Aromas of lifted cherry, chocolate, plum and spice
are present, with subtle background oak support.
The palate is rich and
full, with a vibrant mouth feel and great length of fruit and oak. A
soft finish rounds off this superb example of a well balanced
sparkling shiraz. With careful cellaring this wine will improve for
up to 5 years after release. |
