Wine Maker - Pierre-Henry Gagey

Born in Beaune, France in 1955, Pierre-Henry Gagey assumed the position of President of Maison Louis Jadot in 1991 after serving as Assistant Managing Director under his father André Gagey, one of the most respected figures in the Burgundian wine trade.

A youth spent in Burgundy exposed Pierre-Henry from birth to the tradition and culture associated with the vine. He officially joined Maison Louis Jadot in January of 1985, beginning his training in various positions in the vineyards, cellars and administration under his father, then Managing Director of the firm, and with Technical Director and Winemaker Jacques Lardière.

Pierre-Henry holds a degree in computer science engineering and an MBA from the Institut des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris. His previous professional experience in Paris gave him a grounding in management and organizational supervision. He is President of the Burgundy Wine Syndicate and a member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, and also enjoys hunting, golf and tennis. Pierre-Henry is married with four children..
