Italy - Sicily - Planeta

For many generations the Planeta family have been dedicated to farming in the area of Sambuca di Sicilia and Menfi, in the province of Agrigento , and has always been in the forefront of developments in Sicilian agriculture.

The production of wine began in 1985 on the shore of the Lake Arancio , near Sambuca di Sicilia, with the main aim being to demonstrate the value of Sicilian wines.

Since the first vineyards were plated the Planeta family has concentrated on three important goals: to gain recognition of the indigenous grape varieties, to adapt the best International vines to the particular conditions of Sicily and to restore the fascinating and historic Sicilian D.O.C..
