Following two exceptional years in 1988 and 1989, 1990 completes this unique trilogy to offer an incomparable vintage.

The basic blend is comprised of 61% Pinot Noir sourced from the Grands Crus of Ay, Verzenay, Verzy, Ambonnay and Bouzy. The Chardonnay, which rounds out the blend, is sourced from three Grands Crus in the Côte des Blancs. Red wine (15%), produced exclusively from the Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Bouzy vineyards, is added to create La Grande Dame Rosé 1990.

La Grande Dame Rosé 1990 harbours a magnificently luminous, deep golden-red colour. Effervescence is fine and long-lasting. Intense and powerful, the nose reflects the vintage’s noble character. Scents of nuts and sweet spices predominate, underlined by a lush, almost creamy background. The mouth recalls the richness promised by the nose. Intensely aromatic, La Grande Dame Rosé 1990 reveals exceptional generosity and range. The texture is profound and dense with the silkiness so characteristic of the Grande Dame already present and which will increase over time. The noble aromas of griotte cherries and raspberry govern the finish.
