While champagne shows the character of a specific harvest, non-vintage brut exemplifies the style of a particular House. Freshness, elegance and balance, all of which are typical of Laurent-Perrier's wines, are found in the Brut L-P year after year.
Chardonnay, is the dominant grape variety and its proportion is unusually high for a non-vintage champagne blend, being double the average. The blend is made of wines from more than 55 individual crus or villages with an average cru rating of 94% on the échelle des crus and up to 20% of reserve wines are also used, thus to ensuring perfect consistency in the style.
The Laurent-Perrier Brut also benefits from ideal ageing in the cellars: three years minimum for a 75cl bottle, and four to five years for a magnum. Its balance and natural freshness are enhanced by a light dosage. After the dosage, the wines are kept in the cellar to rest for several months before shipment.
ASPECT: Pale gold in colour with a steady flow of fine and persistent bubbles.
AROMA: Delicate yet complex, fresh and well-balanced with hints of citrus and white fruits.
TASTE: Well defined, subtly rounded with expressive flavours. The fruit progressively emerges to reveal a finely balanced champagne displaying great length on the finish.
