This wine is cherry red in colour and exhibits a deep intensity, indicating that it will age long and well.
In the nose, the first notes are balsamic aromas, berries and undergrowth typical of the Ribera del Duero. These are complemented with hints of spice (traditional in French oak), such as cinnamon, leather, tobacco, truffles & liquorice.
In the mouth, this wine is complex, with sweet tannins that envelope the palate and cover it with an exquisite roundness. Long lasting and persistent, it is a wine that opens itself up slowly to the senses as one tastes it.
Picón Capellanes is a wine with a long life ahead of it. Today, its qualities are better than ever, and in the future, it will become even better, developing additional roundness and fullness in the bottle.
