The concept of the wines known as Due Uve (“Two Grapes”), of which Due Uve White was the first to be produced by Bertani, is the result of a judicious and harmonious combination of two grape varieties, chosen and blended in order to bring out the best in each other. Due Uve White combines the body and the elegance of Pinot Grigio with the aromatic notes typical of Sauvignon Blanc. A truly original creation with great character and personality, a fusion of two of the world’s most famous grape varieties, it makes an excellent aperitif, and goes very well with salads, delicate pasta dishes and white meat.

Grapes: Pinot Grigio 50% and Sauvignon Blanc 50%. The vines are cultivated using “spalliera” method. The pruning is making using “cordon spur” method with 5.000 bases/ha.

Area of production: Grape come from in the Soave area. The soil is of lavic basaltic origni.

Vinification: The harvest takes place at the beginning of September. Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon are fermented “in white”, in steel tanks at a temperature that varies from 14° to 16° C.

Ageing: It ages in stainless steel vats until ready for bottling; an aging period in bottle follows.

Organoleptic characteristics: Intense straw yellow color. Strongly aromatic with characteristic notes of ripened peach against a background of elder flowers typical of Sauvignon and green pepper. The strongly textured, velvety taste of Pinot, with a good sapidity, a good sweet-acid balance and an aromatic aftertaste.
