Vinification: Rosso di Montepulciano has only been a DOC since 1989, when it entered the Vino Nobile registration. This is, therefore, the Estate's 'Second' Montepulciano and therefore does not legally have to spend as long in barrel or bottle before release. The grapes are sourced from 20ha of vineyard around the town of Montepulciano. The wine ages in steel vats until bottling which takes place in April of the year following the harvest. A brief period in bottle follows before it is released.
Taste: A young and fruity wine, full bodied but not aggressive, it displays a good balance of complexity and drinkability.
