Vinification: This wine is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, the same variety used for Brunello di Montalcino, which are harvested by hand in ten year-old vineyards on the property. Part of the wine ages for 12 months in medium-sized Allier oak barrels, and the rest in barriques. The wine completes its maturation period in bottles for 6-9 months before it is released.
Taste: It has an intense ruby-red colour. It has a concentrated bouquet, composed of sour black cherry, blackcurrant and soft vanilla. On the palate flavours of coffee and black fruit can be found. A fine length with very elegant and soft tannins.
