Vinification Note: Manual stripping of the canopy near the fruit. Green grape harvest, selection of 8 bunches per plant. Manual harvesting at optimum maturity. Vinification atlow temperature pre-fermention maceration for 3 or 4 days to enhance fruit flavour. Ageing approximately 16 months in oak, punctuated by 4 traditional rackings.
Tasting Note: Deep ruby in the glass with concentrated black fruit and oak aromas. On the palate, the wine is powerful, with classy wood treatment and a wonderfully rich, sensuous structure and a long finish. Watchwords are accessibility, concentration and supple balance.
