In 2008 Taylor’s wine maker David Guimaraens became aware of the existence of a very old and rare cask-aged port dating from before the arrival of Phylloxera in the Douro Valley.
Deep ruby – purple inky colour. Powerful ripe berry fruit aromas. Excellent balance and complexity. Delightful fresh intensity. Big, full bodied, well structured palate.
Intense purple ruby colour. Concentrated and complex nose full of rich, jammy, cherry and blackcurrant aromas. Full bodied and firm on the palate with a luscious fruity finish.
