Established in 1852, Murrieta are one of the oldest and most respected bodegas of Rioja. Their wines are made in a "classic" Rioja style and receive long ageing in barrel before release.
Marqués de Riscal 150 Aniversario is a dark-cherry coloured wine with brick red hues. Its aroma is complex and balsamic, with burnt wood and hints of spices such as black pepper and cinnamon. It has an oily mouth-feel, with good backbone and concentration of tannins, round and supple with a long, silky finish.
A dark cherry colour, lively with few signs of evolution. High aromatic intensity in which the toasted and spicy aromas from the French oak predominate, together with ripe, dark-berried fruit. In the mouth, it is fresh and smooth with soft, polished tannins in which the wood is not too intrusive. Complex and elegant with a long, balanced finish.
Cherry-red colour with good robe. Spicy, balsamic aromas of great complexity, with notes of ripe dark berries and light toasted nuances. On the palate it is full and tasty, with good structure and rounded, elegant tannins. The finish is long and fresh, with a slight reminder of the fine oak.
A bright, straw-yellow coloured wine. As you expect from a verdejo wine, on the nose it has high aromatic intensity, with tropical fruit and hints of fennel and fresh grass.
A greenish-yellow wine. The nose has a marked Verdejo varietal aroma with medium intensity and hints of fennel, mixed herbs, white blossom, pear and peach. It has a fresh, oily, very smooth mouth-feel, with a long, round finish.
Wine with an intense, bright, lively raspberry colour. On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of strawberry and raspberry, with a hint of blossom. On the palate it is fresh, glyceric and balanced, with a finish full of pleasant, crisp sensations.
Pale yellow colour with greenish glints. A very complex nose with hints of fresh grass over a mineral base which gives the wine personality, and abundant fresh fruit such as citrus fruits, pineapple or melon. It leaves a fresh, aromatic taste in the mouth and has a clean, long finish.
Roda Reserva is blended in a style to appeal to the Burgundy drinker’s palate. Deep purple in colour, the wine shows subtle, sweetly ripe black raspberry and strawberry aromas with musky, woodsy notes. The ripe tannins are silky yet powerful, ending in a lengthy, elegant and balanced finish.
