Tomintoul –WITH A PEATY TANG is distilled in the traditional manner but, unusually for the Speyside Glenlivet region, it is crafted using peated malted barley to impart a distinctive smoky and heathery flavour.
This 14 years old malt has been bottled at 46% volume to retain the whisky’s unique and natural characteristics and subtly of taste and by not chill-filtering this expression it ensures that the aromatic components in the whisky are preserved to enhance impact and flavour. No colouring has been added to this single malt so that the naturalness of the whisky in the casks can be enjoyed to the full.
This great all-rounder lends itself to be drunk at any time of the day. It is crisp with hints of juicy barley and a wonderfully impressive array of sweet notes.
