Masia can Mayol...

For more than four generations, the most important thing for the Mitjans family has been the care of their vineyards with the aim of achieving the best quality for their wines and cavas.

Can Mayol estate is located in the Penedès region and it is the base for the production of their wines. Year after year it gives them the raw material to make their own wines and cavas. Its grapes are the Penedès autochthon varieties: Macabeu, Xarel·lo and Parellada, although in recent years they have introduced new varieties in their plantation such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir and so on.

Thanks to dedication and perseverance of men and their union with the land, they get an excellent wine, the base for the best cava.

This Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Tempranillo blend has a colour of Cherry with deep reflections.

The aroma has vegetal notes that appear in the first place and they remind us of green pepper; later on we find fruit aromas (red berries). The vanilla sweetness appears with elegance.

This wine is the result of the combination of the Cabernet and Merlot's fruit with the toasted and vanilla of the partial ageing of the Tempranillo. The result is a wine with a more modern style and easy to drink. The acidity is well compensated by the alcohol; the tannin is silky but firm, rounding the combination perfectly. Its aftertaste is long and spicy (vanilla, cinnamon).
