We are excited to announce the launch of a new expression of Tomatin Highland Single Malt Scotch whisky - the Cask Strength Edition. This is the distillery’s first permanent cask strength release and allows consumers to experience the Tomatin style of whisky in its most natural state. Only 15,000 bottles will be produced per annum, and the strength from batch to batch will vary slightly. Batch 1, launched this week, is bottled at 57.5%.
This addition, matured in a combination of Bourbon and Sherry casks, joins a strong award-winning core line-up which presents varying styles, matured in various types of casks including Bourbon, Sherry, Port and Virgin Oak.
Also launched this week is a limited edition from the lightly peated whisky range, Cù Bòcan Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The Virgin Oak edition is the second in a trilogy of limited editions showcasing the flavours which make up the standard edition of Cù Bòcan; Sherry, Virgin Oak and Bourbon. The Sherry Edition was released last year, and the Bourbon edition will be released later this year.
Stephen Bremner, sales director, said: “In recent years we have really started to make our mark in the single malt market with recognition for the high quality whisky on offer from the Tomatin Distillery. I am confident these two new expressions will sit nicely within our ranges and, most importantly, will be enjoyed by our customers.”
