Grant Burge's winemaking heritage can be traced back 150 years to his great - great- grandfather, John Burge, who emigrated from England to South Australia and started the family's unrelenting passion for winemaking. Grant formed his own family company in 1988 with his wife Helen, in the heart of the Barossa Valley. Continuing the family tradition, Grant and Helen have now brought the sixth generation into the fold.
The Barossa is famous around the world for its full-flavoured, long lived, top quality wines and Grant Burge's name is synonymous with the region. He is completely passionate about the region and the wines he makes. He owns and manages two wineries in the Barossa and personally oversees all aspects of wine production from vineyard management and maintenance through to winemaking procedures to ensure longevity for generations to come.
Regularly awarded 5 stars by James Halliday, Grant Burge has won every wine award in Australia at some point in his career and has achieved many international accolades, which are testament to his enormous talents as a winemaker and vigneron. A man not known for resting on his laurels.
