COUNTRY/REGION: France/Beaujolais.
GRAPES: 100% Gamay.
ABV:
SOIL: Granit.
SITE: In the very heart of the Beaujolais, in the village of Fleurie with which Chanson has very close connections. The grapes are issued from 2 specific plots "Champagne" and "Les Deux Rivières", ideally oriented South and which are considered as some of the best plots of the village.
THE 2014 VINTAGE: After a cold winter and a mild spring, the weather conditions in Summer were ideal with cold nights and warm days and enabled a perfect maturation of the grapes. The harvest took place mid September under a bright sunshine. The red wines develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture.
TASTING NOTES: Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of ripe cherry and raspberry mixed with spices. Well-balanced and well-structured. Soft texture with well-integrated tannins. Long and generous aftertaste.
