GRAPES: 85% Viura and 15% Tempranillo.
WINEMAKING: Bright strawberry on soft purple background. Elegant floral aromas with intense aromas of red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries and currants. Wine of great tipicity to be a single varietal Tempranillo. Unctuous palate and balanced acidity. Wine of great freshness.
VINEYARDS: CVNE farms half of its grape crush. The remainder is purchased from long-term growers in the Rioja Alta and Alavesa regions.
VINTAGE: Harvest 2016 has been unusual: a very late harvest date, characterised by good weather and high temperatures provided excellent conditions for tasty, healthy and very clean fruit of good quality, colour and structure.
WINEMAKING: We harvested our carefully selected Tempranillo grapes at optimum ripeness to achieve a high level of aromatic extraction and a good concentration. The grapes were kept in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature to prevent the start of fermentation. The juice is removed from the solids after around 24 to 48 hours, once we have determined that the colour is the pink we require. The fermentation is then carried out without the presence of seeds or skins at a controlled temperature of 16-18C for around 8 days to obtain the required fruit levels in the wine.
TASTING NOTES: A very appealing pale dry rosé made from Tempranillo. Aromas of red summer fruits and a palate reminiscent of summer pudding drizzled with cream.
DELIVERY: All our wines are stored in our importers bonded warehouse’s, which have the optimum environment for fine wine storage, by carefully regulating temperature, humidity and other microclimatic factors.
