Domaine Romy is a 30ha property located in the premium Beaujolais winegrowing area known as ‘Les Pierres Dorées’, named after the golden colour of the granite stones found in the vineyards. The tradition of winemaking in the family goes as far as 1700’s. Nicolas Romy and his father Dominique take a natural, hands-off approach to the cultivation of the vines grown in their Terra Vitis certified vineyards, creating wines that are a true expression of the terroir.
This rosé is made from 100% Gamay. It is expressive with a nose of small red berries.
VINEYARDS: Dominique and his son Nicoals cultivate their vines naturally according to the Terra Vitis requirements, so as to preserve the biological balance of the soil. Vines are grown in an old fashioned manner, with grass between rows and Green Harvest being practiced to lower yields and to increase the quality of the grapes.
WINEMAKING: Made by the 'saignée' method, this wine gets its beautiful salmon colour from contact with the grape skins.
