COUNTRY/REGION: France/Loire Valley.
GRAPES: 100% Pinot Noir.
UNIT: 1 x 75cl Bottle.
WINEMAKER NOTES: Notes of black cherry and blackberry on the nose, whilst the palate is a wonderful expression of Pinot Noir with gorgeous mouth-feel and silky smooth tannins.
VINEYARDS: The grapes are grown on a unique terroir within Sancerre, very steep slopes with a flint rich soil. All vineyard processes are carried out in an environmental manner, adapted for each terroir.
VINTAGE: The winter of 2011-12 was mild, which led to budbreak arriving early. This led to three months of cold and humid weather during which the early gains were lost. It wasn't until August until temperatures started to rise again. Reds are showing good colour, with tannins needing to be controlled through gentle extraction.
WINEMAKING: The grapes are harvested at their optimum maturity, before vinification at the winery. Vinification takes place under monitored conditions, to ensure a smooth extraction of tannins. Maceration takes place over a period of 25 days to achieve excellent balance and subtlety.
DELIVERY: All our wines are stored in our importers bonded warehouse’s, which have the optimum environment for fine wine storage, by carefully regulating temperature, humidity and other microclimatic factors.
As such, please allow between 7 and 10 days for your delivery to arrive.
