COUNTRY/REGION: France/Loire Valley.
GRAPES: 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
UNIT: 1 x 75cl Bottle.
WINEMAKER NOTES: With citrus and white flower hints on the nose, the palate is elegant and very well balanced.
VINEYARDS: The grapes are grown mainly on the clay-limestone terroir. All vineyard processes are carried out in an environmental manner, adapted for each terroir.
VINTAGE: Wet spring, followed by frosty April and dry, drought prone summer have significantly impaired the volume across the region in 2016. Thanks to some rain in late September, the grapes received sufficient water to ripen fully, although a bit later than is usual. Despite the delayed harvest that started in early October, we are very happy with the overall quality of the grapes.
WINEMAKING: Following on from cold static settling, the fermentation takes place at low temperatures in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.
TASTING NOTES: Named after the stony limestone soils on which the wines are grown, La Gravelière is classic and poised Sancerre with citrus, white flower characters.
DELIVERY: All our wines are stored in our importers bonded warehouse’s, which have the optimum environment for fine wine storage, by carefully regulating temperature, humidity and other microclimatic factors.
As such, please allow between 7 and 10 days for your delivery to arrive.
