COUNTRY/REGION: France/Burgundy/Côte Chalonnaise.
GRAPES: 100% Pinot Noir.
WINEMAKER NOTES: This is a relatively light Givry with elegant and pure Pinot flavours, red fruit aromas and smooth, supple tannins.
VINEYARDS: Givry vines are situated around the village of Givry, between Mercurey and Montagny, and around the three hamlets of Poncey, Cortiambles and Russilly. Its chalky brown soil, as a result of the weathering of Jurassic limestone, has given rise to a village appellation often compared to Volnay.
WINE MAKING: Givry is fermented in open vats and then aged for 10-12 months in oak casks before bottling.
TASTING NOTES: Produced at Louis Jadot’s winery in the heart of Givry. Relatively light and elegant but displaying comforting, pure Pinot Noir flavours. A great example.
DELIVERY: All our wines are stored in our importers bonded warehouse’s, which have the optimum environment for fine wine storage, by carefully regulating temperature, humidity and other micro climatic factors.
As such, please allow between 7 and 10 days for your delivery to arrive.
