WINEMAKER NOTES: The Pernand-Verglesses vineyard neighbours those of Aloxe Corton and Savigny les Beaune. Planted at altitude between 260 and 380 metres. The 'Clos de la Croix de Piérre' is situated on the Premier Cru 'En Caradeux'. It faces east, not far from the village of Pernand. The soil is mainly chalky with small pebbles on the surface. It takes its name from a large stone cross situated at the edge of the area.

VINTAGE: Conditions for 2014 started well, however a violent hailstorm in June hit several communes in the Mâcon and Côte d'Or, which had a devastating effect. Summer then continued to be unsettled but a period of dry weather in September returned the available grapes to good health. The grapes were harvested from 11th September onwards.

WINE MAKING: The grapes are pressed and then aged in French oak barrels for 15 to 18 months.

TASTING NOTES: Full-bodied and firm, with finesse. Some of the 1er Cru elements of the vineyard, named after the large stone cross on its edge, are included in the blend making it a great buy.

DELIVERY: All our wines are stored in our importers bonded warehouse’s, which have the optimum environment for fine wine storage, by carefully regulating temperature, humidity and other micro climatic factors.

As such, please allow between 7 and 10 days for your delivery to arrive.
